Highlights & Activities.
Unlimited game drives with your own guide and spotter set an easy rhythm, from golden-hour starts to full-day expeditions when herds are moving. Guides position for calving action and predator interactions, with picnic breakfasts or lunches in the field. Adventure fly-camping adds a night under the stars, and short guided walks are possible where permitted. Cultural encounters can be arranged respectfully with local communities. Back at camp, enjoy sundowners, fireside canapés, and relaxed alfresco dinners, or a private table by your tent. Night drives are not permitted inside the conservation area, in line with current regulations.
Region information.
The southern Serengeti and adjoining Ngorongoro Conservation Area form vast short-grass plains nourished by mineral-rich volcanic soils, the stage for the Great Migration’s calving from roughly December to March. As rains ease, herds push north and west, while resident wildlife and excellent birding remain. Granite kopjes, seasonal pans, and far horizons define the landscape. Regulations limit off-road and night driving, helping sightings stay natural and unhurried. Ballooning operates at sunrise in set areas beyond camp. Distances are big, so full-day drives are common when tracking movement across the plains through this open, photogenic country.
