Lake Manyara Tree Lodge
Cradled in an ancient mahogany forest, &Beyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the park’s only permanent lodge, tucked in the quiet southwestern reaches. Nine stilted treehouse suites offer leafy privacy, generous decks, and freestanding baths, with one family suite. Days are gentle and flexible, with game drives and forest walks; elephants often wander past the decks. Evenings gather by the pool or boma for lantern lit, alfresco dinners, with an interactive kitchen adding a fun, personal touch.

Twice daily game drives and unique night drives reveal forest, lakeshore, and open floodplain. Birders can search for some 400 species and tick Star Birds. Gentle nature walks explore the lodge surrounds, while the treetop boardwalk lifts you into the canopy. Choose an unforgettable sleepout under the stars, Healing Earth wellness in the massage sala, and time at the pool. Community bike rides or walks visit Mayoka, and an interactive kitchen and boma dinners add friendly, alfresco moments. Private vehicles can be arranged on request. Guides tailor relaxed pacing to your interests.

Lake Manyara National Park sits between the Rift Valley escarpment and a shimmering alkaline lake, mixing groundwater forest, acacia woodland, floodplains, and hot springs. It is famed for tree climbing lions, large elephant herds, and superb birding, with roughly 400 species recorded. In the remote southwestern sector, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge enjoys rare access at sunrise and sunset after the main gates close, so prime light often feels private. Activities include day and night drives, lodge nature walks, and a treetop canopy boardwalk, with sleepouts offered by arrangement. Community visits are available nearby.
