Region information.

Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park lines the Zambezi River upstream of Victoria Falls, mixing riverine woodland, islands and floodplains with easy access to the Falls. Wildlife includes elephant, buffalo, giraffe and abundant hippo, plus a protected white-rhino population tracked on foot with armed guides. Activities center on daytime game drives, canoeing, boat cruises and seasonal birding; low-water months allow visits to Zimbabwean viewpoints. As a national park, activities follow set regulations and no off-road driving. Access is via Livingstone Airport, with short road transfers to riverside lodges inside the park. Cultural excursions in Livingstone are easily arranged.
