Highlights & Activities.

Twice-daily game drives explore open plains, teak woodlands and pumped pans; after dark, night drives reveal porcupine, genet and nocturnal life. Guided bush walks dive into tracks, birds and botany. Between activities, cool off in the pool, watch animals drift to the waterhole, or browse the small safari shop. Photographers and birders are well looked after. Ask about full-day outings with picnic brunches, bush breakfasts and boma dinners. Sundowners on wide pans and coffee stops set a relaxed rhythm. Private vehicle guiding, family-friendly pacing and seasonal birding round out a flexible programme.

Region information.

Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe’s largest reserve and a celebrated big-game stronghold. Kalahari sandveld, open savannah and pockets of teak woodland support huge elephant herds, plains game and predators including lion, cheetah and African wild dog. Davison’s sits within the private Linkwasha–Makalolo concession, which allows off-road access (where appropriate), guided walking and night drives, privileges not available across much of the public park. Pumped waterholes concentrate wildlife from June to October; the green season brings superb birding and dramatic skies. Access is via Linkwasha Airstrip, with easy links from Victoria Falls and Harare.
