Nyamatusi Mahogany
Set under ancient trees on the banks of the Zambezi, Nyamatusi Mahogany is a family-focused camp within Mana Pools National Park, positioned on a private concession for added flexibility. Four luxury tented suites (two family, two luxury) feature air-conditioning, private plunge pools and river-facing decks. Camp life centers on a lounge, dining room, fire circle and pool, with views to the floodplain and escarpment. Morning and afternoon game drives track elephant, buffalo and predators along riverine forests. Guided walking safaris (16+), canoeing on the Zambezi, and catch-and-release shore fishing. Sunrise, midday and sunset boat cruises operate during the emerald season. Birding excels year-round. In camp: family-friendly Ngwana Club; plunge pool, boma and open lounge; pizza oven, wine cellar and flexible in-suite dining. Relax between activities with in-room air-conditioning, minibar and charging. Evenings bring stargazing and campfire stories; photographers appreciate unhurried pacing. Private deck meals and picnic lunches can be arranged; cultural visits are possible on request.

Mana Pools National Park (≈2,196 km²) forms part of the UNESCO-listed Mana Pools–Sapi–Chewore site on the Zambezi floodplain. Expect elephants, buffalo, hippo, predators and rich birdlife. As a national park, activities follow rules: no off-road driving; daytime drives on set roads, with canoeing and guided walking a hallmark. Nyamatusi Mahogany sits on the river, reached by flights to Mana Main Airstrip and a ~40-minute game-drive transfer. Across the river, Zambia’s Lower Zambezi National Park completes an unfenced ecosystem. Dry months concentrate wildlife; emerald season brings lush, atmospheric skies and dramatic sunsets.
