Legendary Lodge
Set within a working coffee estate on the outskirts of Arusha, Legendary Lodge is a serene base before or after a Tanzania safari. Ten garden cottages and two two-bedroom cottages feature air-conditioning, baths and showers, private verandas and leafy views; a pool, spa, gym and boutique anchor easy days. Flexible dining spans private-veranda meals to garden picnics, with house drinks included. Transfers to Arusha Airport takes about 15 minutes, keeping logistics effortless. Day-use rooms are available on request.

Unwind with spa treatments, a swim, or light exercise with in-cottage yoga mats; stroll, run or cycle estate trails. Join a guided coffee tour to trace bush-to-brew, or set up “Art in the Garden” easels. Flexible dining includes in-room service, alfresco meals, and curated garden picnics; a jet-lag hamper can replace a meal on arrival. Head into town for the Cultural Heritage Centre and Shanga workshop, or book day trips to Arusha National Park; transfers to Tarangire, Manyara and Ngorongoro can be arranged, plus scenic helicopter adventures. Shopping excursions are easily organized.
Region information.
Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, and Legendary Lodge sits just outside town on a tranquil estate. It’s roughly 15 minutes to Arusha Airport and about 90 minutes to Kilimanjaro International, easing arrivals and departures. Day trips reach Arusha National Park and Mount Meru, while Tarangire and Lake Manyara lie about two hours by road (or 25-minute flights); Ngorongoro is around four hours. The area enjoys a warm, temperate climate, with long rains April–May and short rains mid-Nov to mid-Jan—ideal before or after safari. The lodge closes briefly in April.
