Day 1 - 4 - Usawa - Moru West Area, Serengeti National Park (Central), Tanzania

  • Light canvas tents stand on ground level platforms with views across open country. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with bucket shower, single basin vanity and separate toilet. Inside there is a bed with headboard lighting, a writing desk with charging, an electronic safe, tea and coffee and an exercise mat. Curtain blinds and shade net roofing aid airflow. A shaded seating area with chairs and a hammock are nearby.

  • Usawa is a light mobile camp that follows the herds and avoids busy zones. At Moru West, it positions in the south central Serengeti for December and January when the herds concentrate in this region. The camp has a single stretch roof main tent that holds lounge, dining and bar areas, with outdoor seating, a fire pit, a research library, a spotting scope and a guest toilet. Six guest tents, including one family tent, provide simple comfort. Activities focus on morning and afternoon game drives, with full day options to the Southern Plains if movement demands. The operation can shift between set sites through the year to stay close to the migration.

Day 4 - 7 - Dunia Camp, Serengeti National Park (Central), Tanzania

  • Raised canvas tents stand on wooden decks with a private veranda facing the plains. Inside is a king or twin bed, bedside tables, easy chairs and a small desk. Each tent has an en suite bathroom with indoor shower, toilet and toiletries provided, plus a safety deposit box. Mesh windows allow airflow and lighting suits early starts and evenings. Simple design supports quiet time between drives and private veranda breakfasts.

  • Dunia is a classic tented camp in central Serengeti. There are 8 tents including one family tent. Central spaces include lounge and dining areas, a bar and a campfire, with Wi-Fi in the main area and service that can vary. Meals are flexible for drive times. Bush breakfasts get you out early, picnic lunches support full day drives and dinners are often outdoors by the fire or on your veranda when weather allows. Seronera Airstrip is the closest entry point, about a forty five minute drive. Children from five years are welcome.
