A safe, raised platform or open air deck set for a private night under the stars with proper bedding, lanterns and radio contact. Your guide escorts you at dusk and remains on call.

Namibia’s desert for dark skies, Botswana’s Okavango and Linyanti for watery views, Zimbabwe’s Hwange and Mana Pools for wildlife rich pans and rivers, and South Africa’s Lowveld for treehouses above the bush.

Dry months bring clearer skies. For the brightest Milky Way we plan near a new moon, adjusting for weather and your wider route.

Is it comfortable and safe?

Yes. Expect warm duvets, hot water bottles and clear safety briefings. Platforms are raised and staffed with radio support, and minimum age policies apply.

Layers for cool nights, a beanie, head torch with red light and a small camera tripod if you want Milky Way photos. We send a concise packing list with your booking.
